The Oregon Translational Research and Drug Development Institute was developed by the Oregon research universities and local biotechnology companies. Oregon university research programs produce the licensable technologies and services that form the foundation of therapeutic development (lead compounds, diagnostics, and therapeutics). OTRADI provides a value added component to Oregon companies and universities to develop their respective intellectual property further before partnering with large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, seeking additional investment or, creating start-up companies. The types of tasks performed by OTRADI would include chemical and biological screens, validated targets or "hits", lead optimization, toxicology assays, medicinal chemistry and assay optimization.

Student Records Privacy Policy
Student records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), federal regulations which assign rights to students and responsibilities to educational institutions regarding students' education records. The Act governs the maintenance and release of information from those records.
Transfer Students
The University of Oregon accepts transfer credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities. Credits earned at junior colleges and community colleges are always transferred at the lower division level. Credits earned at a four-year institution are transferred at both the lower and upper division credit, depending on what level the original course was taught.
Students may transfer in an unlimited number of credits to clear degree requirements, but only 124 credits from junior or community colleges will be counted toward the total number of credits required for the degree (of this only 90 credits may be transferred from an international junior college). Remember that students must earn a minimum number of upper division credits (62) in order to graduate. Therefore, students who transfer the full 124 credits from a community college will ultimately graduate with more than the required minimum 180 credits for the BA or BS degrees.
